About us

Crown Memorial Park is one of the only family owned and operated cemeteries in the Pineville and Charlotte area. The park was created in October 1996 and designed by Marion Haygood, a renowned cemetery architect. The land was bought in the 1930's by Pineville Doctor, Edgar Hall Hand, Head of the Mecklenburg Health Department. Three of Doctor Hand's grandchildren now own the property. Our first burial was in March 1997, and today we have over 1200 souls resting peacefully. We are a perpetual care cemetery, which means the grounds will be maintained for life and that burden would not be passed on to your loved ones. We are dedicated to helping families with their final wishes, in advance or when the need arises.
